Transform * Lead * Love
August 2006

In this issue:

What is Transition?

Webster definition: 1 a: passage from one state, stage, subject,
or place to another: CHANGE b: a movement, development,
or evolution from one form, stage, or style to another.

Transformation is full of possibilities and opportunities in the
exploration of creating what's next for you. It is an ingredient
in unfolding the greatest mystery of all, the self. In your
willingness to traverse on the track of transformation from the
inside out, wonders of wonder occur. You manifest your heart's
desire. Bringing more abundance and love into your life.

What is it you want to change?

What difference would it make? How would it make you feel?

What are you doing about it?

What are your challenges? How are you overcoming them?

Tip: Answer these questions with pen and paper.
There are no right or wrong answers and it is not uncommon for more
questions to pop up. Note your 'Inner Critic' or sometimes known as
the 'Gremlin,' will have a field day with you. That's okay.
It is good to be aware what the inner critic has to say.
Keep writing without judgment - don't even judge the Gremlin.

In upcoming e-newsletters I will go into more detail about how to
work with your inner critic or sometimes known as Gremlins to your
advantage.

One of my clients wanted to relocate and change careers with more
money and less hours. Pretty big transition, wouldn't you say? Within
six months she moved, got a new job with less hours and more money.
Getting clarity on her vision, focusing on her vision, planning her
transition and taking action gave her the results she sought.

Tip: It is when we 'Listen to the Whispers of the Heart'
that transformation emanates from authenticity. Later issues will
include using the power within to get what you desire.

'Until we prioritize our lives according to what's important to us
individually, we will remain in need of the external reinforcement we
get from our jobs. We are all too aware of what we sacrifice for work,
but if we don't put those things on the agenda, work will always come
first... We can have it both ways. As long as we live first by what we
treasure, and let the rest fall into place.'

For Singles Only

One of my coaching niches is working with singles and single-agains
to improve their relationship skills. The dating scene can be a
daunting challenge. There is the expense, the time, the uncertainty
of where and how to find your life partner, and your beliefs can tempt
you to settle for less than what you really want.

Tip: When you settle for less whether in life or in a relationship,
it is doomed to be unfulfilling. It is essential you be absolutely
clear about what your readiness, requirements, needs and wants are in
attractive a life partner.

Tip: Go deeper than a 'laundry list' of what you want in a
relationship. How do your feelings resonate with needs and wants?
What do you base your requirements on in a relationship?
What is the lie you tell yourself about relationships?

A young client came to me wanting to change careers.
Within a short period of time she discovered her next career.
She went to night school and within two years became a paralegal.
Got a great job and increased her income. During the coaching
sessions her personal issues with dating surfaced.

It became clear that unless her needs were met in the person she was
dating at the time, the relationship wouldn't work. She broke off
the relationship. Several months later they got back together
committed to reinventing the relationship by meeting each other's
requirements, needs and wants.

Look for more tips on requirements,
wants and needs in upcoming e-newsletters.

Leadership Pointers

Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
'You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
You must do the thing you think you cannot do.'

Whether you are the leader in your community, business or making a
difference in your home environment, leadership is based on values.
Great leaders are in-sync with their vision and who they 'be' in the
matter. You can learn all sort of skills and be on top of your
'to do' list but wrong attitude and dissatisfaction can tear you down.

What helps a leader be more effective is being true to their passion and
showing up. Wouldn't you rather be with someone who was enthusiastic
about what they are doing versus someone who is always complaining?
Notice the different energy around someone who loves what they are
doing and that of someone who hates what they are doing.
