Dreams Come Alive in Business & Career:

There are basically three major blocks to realizing your dreams. These are blocks that are wired into your way of being. They have been with you a long, long time and are so automatic that you don’t even notice them. Think of something that you do automatically without even thinking of the steps or process it took to actualize the event. Take driving for example.

If you are an automobile driver, remember when you first learned how to drive a car? All the nuances you had to learn from putting the key in the ignition; putting the car in the proper gear; learning which pedal was the brake and which was the pedal to accelerate; learning to gauge distances without hitting anything; how to parallel park; getting the oil changed regularly; and learning the rules of the road. These are a few of the pieces you had to put together to become a good driver. With practice you developed unconscious competence. Driving eventually became an automatic skill.

Actualizing desired dreams requires transcending from where you are to where you want to be. However, what often occurs is dreams get stuck in automatic limiting beliefs, feelings of anxiety, and unproductive behaviors. As much as you may want to improve or advance your situation, your automatic responses keep fighting against change filling your mind with fear, doubt, guilt and anxiety. These become self-fulfilling prophecies – and, ultimately, you lose.
