Transform * Lead * Love
January 2007
In this issue:
Romance in the Air
Valentine's Day is synonymous with romance, passion, and love.
To show one's heart's desire how much he/she means to us, we gift
them with roses, chocolate and/or greeting cards. Not bad for
those with a special someone in their life. Did you know that
more than 42% of adults in the USA are single?
With the combination of couples and singles reading this
newsletter, I am going to speculate that regardless of whether or
not you are in a relationship, you wouldn't object to having more
romance, passion and love existing in your life. That being
said, read on!
One of the best ways I know of having more love in your life is
to treat yourself with respect, appreciation, and kindness.
When you come from a place of inner strength and enthusiasm, you
are a pleasure to be with. Others are attracted to you like a
bee is to honey. This isn't about packaging or marketing
yourself as some sort of unrealistic ideal. It is about your
being authentic and blooming in the now. It is about being
excited in who you are and who you are becoming as you listen to
your heart's song.
Questions have the answers:
* What gift can you give yourself that you have delayed in
doing or getting?
* What ways can you appreciate the wonders of being you?
* What gift can you give to another without expecting
anything back in return?
Tip:
Give yourself a gift of time. The size of the block of time is
up to you. It can be two hours a week or time out for a vacation.
Make a date with yourself to do something different
or something you have been putting off. Make a list of things
you would do if you had more time. Try to get out of your head
when doing this exercise and listen to your heart. This is the
time to try something new. It is also a time to get rid of
something old that no longer serves you, like maybe watching too
much television, or clearing the clutter, or whatever makes you
unhappy.

Leadership
Pointers on Passion & Success:
Leaders who are passionate about what they are doing and why they
are doing what they do are the most successful. They are
grounded in purpose. They have identified their objectives as
well as identified the actions to get the results. They move
with boldness and courage. They learn to acknowledge their
weaknesses while building up their strengths and values.
They become skilled at deepening their respect for themselves in
a healthy manner. Their generosity doesn't come by always
giving, but by learning to receive and allow new possibilities.
'Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.'
- Karen Kaiser Clark
Leaders ask themselves:
- What is my objective?
- Why is the objective important?
- What is at stake?
- What is the outcome if I choose to do this or not?
- How does it get done?
- Does the objective come from a 'should' or from a 'desire' to make
a
difference?
Tip:
Give yourself the gift of time to answer these questions. What
do you notice? How do the answers correspond with having 2007
be your best year yet? Let your creativity, intelligence,
imagination, and more of whom you are free to explore and
express.

For
Singles Only - Ideas for Valentine's Day:
Many singles are enjoying being single and there are singles who
want to be in a relationship. Whichever category you choose,
commit to a more powerful and enlightened relationship with the
person in the mirror. Singles who grow in their awareness and
live according to their values and life purpose are a magnet for
attracting relationships personally and professionally that work.
- What gift can you give yourself on Valentine's Day?
- Where is it you want more love in your life?
- What is your passion in life?
Tips:
Get to know the person in the mirror at a deeper level. And
don't go 'yuk.' Look at your skin from a different perspective.
The skin is the largest organ of your body and serves many
purposes. It protects the body, helps keeps our bodies at the
right temperature, and allows us to have the sense of touch.
Give yourself a hug and thank your skin for protecting you.
Give yourself a hug just because 'you are the greatest.'
