The Secrets to Having It All
"The wisest men follow their own direction
."
--Euripides (484 BC – 406BC)
There is so much frenzy today in reacting to emails, text messages, cell
phones callers, employers, clients and trying to catch up with “to
do’s.” So much so that going unnoticed are unfilled dreams
being side tracked. Dreams headed almost into oblivion until something
happens to awaken the dreamer.
The awakening comes in various forms such as, listening to your feelings
and intuition; or being dissatisfied with your present lifestyle; or from
circumstances beyond your control. Unfortunate circumstances usually plagues
with loss – loss of a loved one, job, health, finances or whatever
you held dear materially or emotionally. These are signals trying to get
your attention above all the frenzy to give birth to your dreams. Reminding
you of the “all” that you yearn to do, be, and have.
One of the secrets to having it all is “awareness.” Awareness
of giving your dreams an existence based on your say-so. Dreams don’t
have to necessarily take a complete turnaround from where you are – yet
they can. Bringing a dream into existence can be scary and weighed down
with self doubt, such as maybe your life looks like it is going great so
why try something new? Why not? Self doubt can be from questioning being
good enough. Or you may say you are too young or too old – weigh too
much. Or maybe you say, “When I have more time and money I will then
be able to take time to live my dreams.” In the meantime, are you
having it all? What does your “all” look like if it lacks fulfillment?
Trying on a new dream is about whom you are becoming, always changing – evolving
into your greatness not somebody else’s. Creating your day based on
your compelling future. The wonder of dreams is that they come in all sizes
and shapes – different textures and colors. You get to design it based
on your very own unique values and criteria that evolves through your awareness
in defining your “all.”
"It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is
put into them that matters."
--Mother Teresa
Questions hold the answers:
• What is your “all?”
•
What is your definition of “having it all?”
•
What is in your existence now that is part of your “all?”
• What is your next step in getting on your Right Track to your dream?
TIPS:
- Take down time from overload in responding to the requests of others.
When you allow others the power to make your decisions, you take away
from your own power.
- Have the courage to sit down with yourself and journal whatever comes
up in your mind without censoring for 20-30 minutes. Keep writing without
stopping. This method has helped me clear my mind to get to my buried
dreams and create my day.
- Listen to your intuition without second guessing the answer. Ask yourself
how often your intuition was on track and you didn’t listen.

- Make a list of 100 things you want to do, be and have. How many
of the 100 are things are your wants? How many on the list are whom you
want to be? What is the relationship between your wants and whom you want
to be? Let me know what you discovered. To gain even more awareness register

Recommended Book:
"You Can Have
It All" by Arnold M. Patent
"You should not confuse your career with your life."
--Dave Barry – Nationally Syndicated Columnist
There are a number of books on having it all. Each of them may say it
differently, but the underlying message is self awareness in your becoming
and the power you have in attracting what you want. Arnold Patent was an
attorney who lived the “model” life and found little joy in
it. He started to change his life through a nutrition program. Part of the
program included meditation to reduce stress. Stress is one of the most
destructive factors in life and meditation is one of the most beneficial
ways to reduce stress.
His life started turning around in his self awareness and awareness to Universal
Principles, which he shares with in his book. Oprah called it “One of
the most important books I have ever read.” Arnold Patent teaches you
how to transform your life.
